2020-2021
Transition 2, as the continuation of the first Transition series, relies on similar abstract expressionism methods. The series is meant to show the transition in the life of the artist while relocating from Italy to the US, in an indirect way. Painting through the pandemic and relocation time helped Mattia to process the emotional challenges he was facing.
